My boyfri... end and I went here for a newcomer’s group night a few weeks ago. He truly did not want to go with me, but when we got home after the dance class he told me how much fun he had and how much better it was than he expected. And it’s true.. we literally laughed and danced the entire night away!! Learning how to dance basic ballroom steps for the first time in front of others can be nerve-wracking, but the minute we walked into the door the instructors were incredibly friendly and so welcoming. They made us feel comfortable learning how to dance and cracked jokes the whole night to keep us entertained. I could not thank them enough for a genuinely wonderful and memorable experience!read more

There is... not a moment that this studio isn’t having fun! 5/14/19... EDIT: After taking lessons for a few more years, I feel like my dancing skills for several smooth and rhythm dances are much improved. The key is practicing what is learned in the lessons in the various parties... and I feel much more confident asking others to dance than I did earlier on.NDC of Franklin, TN has wonderful instructors and is always happy to have new students. Before beginning, I was a complete novice/untrained individual with no idea what I was supposed to do. Now I am confident in ballroom dancing (to the level I have completed so far) and eager to learn more. Events include social and competitive/performance based, so you can enjoy it at any level.read more

I found... this place through Nashville Events & Adventures, and I've been coming back regularly ever since. NDC is a great place to learn how to dance, as all of the instructors walk you through everything step-by-step and make you feel comfortable out on the floor. Everyone has a great attitude and there are fun weekly parties where you can practice what you've learned, so you'll definitely end up having a blast here. I've... danced at the studio for several years now. A lot of friendly and passionate people dedicated to dancing. The teachers work hard to create a great atmosphere. You can enjoy group lessons, private, and they have parties on Friday nights every week to practice your dancing and enjoy live band music. I've greatly enjoyed it.My only negative is there is a lot of salesmanship, and there is always a push to spend more money on various things. So just be confident in what you want out of your dancing, and they will respect where you draw the line moneywise.read more

Four... years ago, my husband and I purchased a dance package stating that as seniors we might be interrupted by health issues. Over the... last year and a half I have been taking lessons with NDC Franklin. Loving every minute of it.It all started with saying 'Yes' to something that definitely was outside by introvert standard day.Within this time I have learned to dance EC and WC Swing, Rumba, Waltz, Tango, ChaCha, Foxtrot, and (at least a basic) Salsa. Also, have traveled around the city to the different NDC locations and met all the other staff and enjoyed them all as well.I definitely recommend stepping out of your box and try a dance lesson.read more

A few... weeks ago, my coworker invited me to guest night, knowing I love music and need an excuse to get out of my house. I went, and to my surprise, have really had a great time learning to dance! My teacher, John, took the time to figure out how I learn and process things, and has been awesome at teaching me at a level I can grasp. At a... party I was the guy watching everyone else dance all the while wanting to be out there on the dance floor at the same time too timid to try. I needed to try something different so one day I walked into NDC Murfreesboro. I have enjoyed every lesson. I have never walked out of the studio in a bad mood (I have walked in after having a bad day but that changes after a few minutes at NDC). The staff is incredible. Don and I... have been dancing at NDC Murfreesboro for 1 1/2 years + , and have had some of the best experiences of our marriage. Learning to dance together is physically challenging and exciting, and the process of learning dance partnership continually offers us opportunities to see where our barriers lie, and to work through them for stronger partnership not only in dance, but also in life. The instructors work incredibly hard to see where we are in our lesson guide and to work from those points; they are all very positive and encouraging, gracious and fun to be around. The atmosphere at NDC is a highly positive one. Our current instructor, Vince S., is a phenomenal person, instructor, and ballroom dancer. The Friday parties with live bands are great opportunities to practice what we learn in our lessons, and to see amazing, beautiful demonstrations of ballroom dances by our instructors. I would give NDC 5 stars as the PROS are many, but must stop with 4 stars because of the CONS, which in my experience are: 1) The instructors should be paid much more in my opinion, 2) there is way too much sales pressure, and 3) the cost for lessons is too high. To end on a positive note, learning ballroom dancing at NDC has been transformational for Don and me, and we are very grateful to have this opportunity.read more

We have... been attending NDC for a year now and absolutely love it! Everyone is friendly, from the staff to the other students. We knew nothing about dance when we started and learned in no time. Having... read the reviews on Google before we started taking dance lessons and reading them again now, everyone’s comments have a level of validity. My wife and I have been taking dance lessons at NDC Murfreesboro for seven months and learning to dance has been a very enjoyable experience. On the flip side, I have not always agreed with the practice of giving you the feeling of immediacy to make decisions on advancing levels or taking part in events / competitions. There are costs involved, but the expense to take lessons or participate in additional activities is a decision that everyone has to make individually. We have found that ballroom dancing is a hobby that we both can take part in and has brought us closer together. We started taking lessons with the goal to be social dancers, now we have the confidence and ability to dance on any dance floor.One of the main differences I have seen between other businesses I have been associated with and the National Dance Club is the overall upbeat atmosphere and positive attitude of all the NDC mangers, teachers and staff. In the time we have been taking lessons and group classes, I have not heard one negative comment made to or about anyone, from the teachers, staff or other students. It has been the most positive and supportive environment I have ever experienced.We have enjoyed taking private lessons and group lessons, been coached by World Champion competitive dancers, participated in Friday night social dances, and have gone to the sponsored outings to dance. With... regard to the Franklin studio, the staff and instructors are warm and friendly... and still professional and timely. The instructors, mine especially, are good at keeping the lessons fun, but still teaching the objectives for each of the (ballroom) dance steps. Skills build from the very basics to intermediate and advanced levels, so plenty of room to go as far as you want to progress. My instructor introduces new material and reviews prior skills at my pace and is flexible on lessons scheduling to meet my needs. I am learning (and retaining) much more than I expected I ever could, and events like group classes, parties, and nights out all help reinforce what I have learned and put it all together. I recommend to anyone wanting to learn ballroom dancing, though I am certain they offer classes for other types of dancing.read more

My compan... y arranged for all of its employees to attend the American Heart Ball in February,and in order to be well prepared, my husband and I decided to take a few ballroom classes in order to get the basics down. We absolutely fell in love with it. I cannot say enough good things about its benefits - stronger communication skills, accomplishing something together that we both enjoy, the satisfaction that comes from seeing measurable improvement, being able to forget about work and kids and grad school and all the things that demand our attention in order to focus on one another for a few hours a week - and built in date nights! The staff is amazing - Rebecca has been an absolute joy to work with, and we have really enjoyed working with John as well. Ashlea does a great job with communicating moves so that we understand, Chelsea makes cardio something I actually look FORWARD to (no small miracle), and Vince S, although we have yet to work with him one on one, is always incredibly encouraging and helpfully specific even in the brief encounters we have. The group of young people who have been assembled at NDC Murfreesboro are gifted, patient, and persistently positive, and even if you have initial doubts about your abilities, you'll walk away feeling like a dancing savant. I "happen... ed" to find a post card advertising a Valentine's Dance and since my husband,Brian, and I had talked about learning to ballroom dance, we decided to give it a try. We loved it! All the staff made us feel welcome and have become our TN family. There have been a few sad times since we started but that is a part of life together.

Stefani... is an excellent instructor that knows how to train someone with absolutely no prior experience. She is encouraging and can relate the dance steps to one with no prior knowledge. The other instructors seem similar in terms of welcoming new students and presenting the material. NDC of Franklin is easy to find and has plenty of room for group and individual classes. They are welcoming and work with each student on individual basis with a nice blend of single student and group lessons...with a clear set of objectives for each dance/level. I am not... typically known to mention this with any other reason but to talk about the hair & makeup opportunity I have been given. But lately, it has been weighing on my mind to tout: National Dance Clubs OF MURFREESBORO, TN, The Southern Heat Ballroom Competition earlier this month, as well as tonight's Spring Show was a BIG SUCCESS!!! I give 5... stars to my instructor Chelsea and a solid 4.5 (so far...may be higher after Guest Night) to the establishment...Chelsea is the perfect teacher for me and my used-to-be-very-leery boyfriend. She made it soooo fun and is extremely positive. At the beginning of the process they stated that we would be "stuck" with our assigned instructor...THANK GOODNESS!!!!! We left our first lesson absolutely hooked. She is kind, open, and innately inviting!! If they tried to put us with any other we would throw a royal fit at the cost of making a scene hahaha....

We don't have a lot of money or time for that matter but we feel so fortunate for such an opportunity to learn these fantastic things from a down to earth person. I was gifted lessons from my boyfriend at Christmas and we both love it! I hope she knows how much it means for us to have her as an instructor!!! Seriously love this new world and teachings!! It's everything I imagined it would be and more!!!!
